The area Pony Creek Outfitters hunts consistently provides big game trophy animals in a variety of species. The abundance of trophy elk, trophy mule deer and trophy whitetail deer will make you want to book again year on year. Did we forget to mention the quality trophy bear hunts? We have blonde bears, cinnamon bears and black bears. Mountain lion hunting is available.
With multiple tags the opportunities are endless on your big game Idaho hunting trip.

Trophy Class Bull Elk.
The archery season coincides with the elk rut. Calling a trophy elk bull in to shooting range can be the hunting experience of life time. It is not uncommon to hear or call in more than one trophy bull elk at a time.
The rifle elk season falls during the end of the bugle season and the heart of the deer rut. Opportunities for trophy elk and trophy mule deer. Snow in the high country can force the elk, mule deer and whitetail deer into herds of 50 or more.

We hunt public land exclusively. We offer guided archery hunts as well as guided rifle hunts. You can hunt Mule deer by traditional “spot and stalk” on horseback, truck or ATV. Hunters stay in our Outfitters camp just minutes from the hunting areas.

Trophy Bear Hunts.
We offer both spring and fall bear hunts. Idaho is well know for producing beautiful color phase bears. Blonde, cinnamon and black color make these animals a highly sought after trophy bear. The spring bear hunting season runs through several months and provides a wide variety of bear hunting styles, baits, and spot and stalk.

The mountain lion population in Idaho is on a steady increase. This region is known to produce record book mountain lion. Sightings of mountain lions during elk hunting season can produce an opportunity for harvest with appropriate tag.

Our Idaho camps are among the best in the business. After a hard days hunt our hunters will enjoy a family style meal that is second to none. Our sleeping quarters boast of comfortable beds, plenty of room and propane heat to provide a well needed night of rest.
Our Idaho camp is located on public lands, so we have the option to hunt on horseback or to venture out by truck or ATV into excellent hunting country. We are also able to accommodate the physically challenged sportsman, and provide a great outdoor experience.
Pony Creek Outfitters help is first rate, ambitious, knowledgeable and experienced. We pride ourselves in our work. I have had many compliments on my guides and cooks and only choose those who are willing to go that extra step to insure my clients have a fun and exciting experience on their Idaho trip.

In-House Taxidermy.
One of the added benefits of booking your hunt with Pony Creek is our ability to not only help you take a trophy, but mount and preserve it, too. Our in house taxidermy means less worry about transporting and preserving your animal on the trip home.
Pony Creek guides will properly skin your game in the field, freeze it at camp, then salt it and prepare it for mount according to your specifications.
